"A 40-acre grass fire a mile northwest of Carter Lake has destroyed at least one home and several outbuildings, according to an initial and unconfirmed report from fire agencies at the scene.
Since the fire began around 10:30 a.m., authorities have evacuated homes in the area as well as the Flatiron and Pinewood campgrounds."
